Licensing Inspector arrived at 11:30 AM and departed at 1:15 PM. At the time of the inspection, there were 36 children (ages two through five) in care with five staff. Children were observed eating lunch, preparing for nap and napping. Center management reported that there was no medication being administered or stored on site. The sample size was four staff and five children's files.

Standard #: 63.2(17)-1720.1-B-3 Description: Based on review of four staff records, it was determined that the facility did not request out-of-state background checks for staff who have lived outside of the state of Virginia in the past five years. Evidence: The sworn statement or affirmation for staff #3 indicated that she had lived in Pennsylvania within the past five years. The facility had not requested an out of state child protective services check from Pennsylvania. Plan of Correction: Background check was submitted during the inspection.
