Standard #: 22VAC40-185-270-A Description: Based on a tour of the outdoor play area the facility failed to ensure that all areas are safe. Evidence: 1. On the upper grassy area where children were playing, there is a steep bank. There is nothing to delineate that this is a dangerous fall hazard. 2. Also, in that area there are tools including rakes and 24 inch metal spikes. Plan of Correction: The administrator will ensure that orange cones are placed in this area to mark the area as 'off limits' and will remind teachers to keep children away from this area. The tools will be removed.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-280-B Description: Based on a tour of the outdoor play area, the facility failed to ensure that all hazardous substances are kept in a locked area. Evidence: 1. On the upper grassy area where children were playing, there are two cans of Rustoleum. Plan of Correction: The administrator will remove the cans of Rustoleum today.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-510-E Description: Based on a review of the medications, the facility failed to ensure that all medicines are labeled. Evidence: 1. There is a bottle of Kroger Children's Allergy Relief in the medicine box which is not labeled with a child's name. Plan of Correction: The administrator labeled the medicine during the inspection.
