An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted with the director and staff. There were 96 children in care with an age range of seven months to six years old. Children were observed during rest time and free play. Six staff and children's records were reviewed. Seven staff are current in MAT, All staff current in First Aid and CPR. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-280-B Description: Based on observation not all hazardous substance were kept in a locked place. Evidence: In the school age room there was a can of Glade spray and two bottles of disinfecting spray stored in a unlocked cabinet accessible to the children. Plan of Correction: The chemicals mentioned were in a cabinet that is approximately 5 feet off the ground. The cabinet was closed but the latch was not in the locked position. All chemicals were moved during the inspection to a lower cabinet that is locked with a key.
