Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 between 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm to review supplemental health and safety requirements. The licensing inspector observed 56 children in care for the Kids and Teens programs with supervision being provided by 9 staff. During the inspection, the licensing inspector conducted observations of the children in care participating in various activities to include napping, completing bathroom breaks, engaged in activity in the gymnasium with peers and staff, playing a variety of activities in the designated area, transitioning from napping, and watching television. The licensing inspector also completed observations of parent pick up. The program's designated childcare areas, bathrooms, gymnasium were inspected. The first aid kit and emergency supplies were inspected. There were six children's records reviewed by the inspector. The licensing inspector reviewed nine staff's emergency contact and required certificate of completion. Medication is being administered, medications, and written authorizations were reviewed for the center's compliance. The Department has received a complete renewal application and annual fee from the center. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found. If you have any questions about this inspection, please contact licensing inspector, Tiffany Harris, at (757)-403-3045.
