An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted from 9:30am-12:00pm. At the time of entrance, 80 children were in care with 17 staff members present. Children were observed during diaper changes, communicating in sign language with the Toddler teacher, playing with ice at the water table, playing with table toys, reading books, creating a robot with a DC motor, lunch time, and watching a performance by the "John-Henry the Guitar man Show." The site was clean, organized and contained an abundant supply of developmentally appropriate materials. Interactions between the children and staff were positive. A selection of staff and children records, the physical space, evacuation drills, attendance records and medications were reviewed. There were no violations cited this date.
