An unannounced subsidy health and safety complaint inspection was conducted on 7/18/2019, in response to a complaint that was received by the licensing office on 07/12/2019. The inspector was on site from approximately 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM. Interviews were conducted with members of the administrative team relating to allegations concerning the center closing for two days. The preponderance of the evidence gathered during the investigation supports the allegation; therefore, the complaint is determined to be valid. See the violation notice for more details. Please complete the ?plan of correction? and ?date to be corrected? for each violation cited on the violation notice and return it to me within 5 business days from today. You will need to specify how the deficient practice will be or has been corrected. Just writing the word ?corrected? is not acceptable. Your plan of correction must contain: 1) steps to correct the noncompliance with the standard(s); 2) measures to prevent the noncompliance from occurring again; and 3) person(s) responsible for implementing each step and/or monitoring any preventative measures. Standard #: 22VAC40-665-550-1-c Description: Based on director interview, the center did not ensure that the suspension or termination of all child care services for more than 24 hours as a result of an emergency situation and any plans to resume child care were reported to the department's inspector as soon as practicable, but no more than one business day. Evidence: 1. The center owner stated that the center was closed on July 11, 2019 and July 12, 2019 for cleaning due to mold. 2. Suspension of child care services was not reported to the inspector.
