An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted with the director beginning at 7:52 AM and ending at 9:00 AM. There were 49 children in the care of the four staff members. The children were observed cleaning up and preparing for breakfast. The children were observed eating breakfast which consisted of ham and cheese croissants, sweet potato fries, or cereal and milk. Ten children's records were reviewed and in compliance. Three staff records were reviewed. Three medications were reviewed and in compliance. The first aid kit, flashlight, and weather-band radio were observed and in compliance. The most recent emergency evacuation drill was documented as 9/5/19.The most recent shelter-in-place drill was documented as 9/9/19.The most recent fire inspection was dated 8/4/17. The most recent health inspection was dated 5/7/19.

Standard #: 63.2(17)-1720.1-B-2 Description: Based on a review of three staff records, the center failed to obtain documentation of fingerprinting background checks for all staff. Evidence: Staff A (start date 8/13/19) did not have documentation of fingerprinting background check in their record. Plan of Correction: The staff completed the fingerprinting process. The documentation will be obtained and placed in the staff record.
