Thank you for your assistance during this unannounced monitoring inspection. This on-site visit was initiated on September 9, 2019 from 9:45 a.m. through 10:30 a.m. as a result of a self-reported incident to the Valley Licensing Office on August 29, 2019. Interviews were conducted with two staff and documentation was reviewed. One children's record was reviewed. Areas of non-compliance may be found on the violation notice.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-400-B Description: Based on documentation and interview, the center failed to ensure behavior guidance was intended to redirect children to appropriate behavior to resolve conflict.
Evidence:
1. Staff #1 stated she was "bringing children through the hallway to get their blankets for nap time."
2. Staff #1 stated Child A was getting out of line.
3. Staff #1 said, "I placed my hand on his bottom and gently placed back in line."Plan of Correction: The director will review with current and new staff the proper way to redirect children to appropriate behavior when necessary.
