A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on September 19, 2019 from approximately 2:15 PM to 4:30 PM) to review supplemental health and safety requirements. There were 24 school-age children in care at the time of the inspection. There were 4 staff members working directly with the children. The licensing inspector observed children participating in a variety of activities. The staff were observed to be engaged with the children in age appropriate activities and to be meeting the needs of the children in care. A snack is provided by the facility. The facility had the following posted: license, emergency numbers, evacuation maps/procedures, daily schedule, menu, and various parent information. There were no medications reported at the center. The first aid kit and non-medical emergency supplies were inspected. Emergency response drill records were reviewed. 5 children's records were reviewed. Staff records will be reviewed at the administrative office at a later date. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection.
