Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-430-I
Description: Based on observations in six classrooms and staff interviews, staff in two classrooms had not assigned all of the water drinking cups to individual children.

Evidence:
1. In Classroom D, there were four children's cups used for drinking water throughout the day that were not labeled with the children's names.
2. In Classroom E, there was one child's cup used for drinking water throughout the day that was not labeled with the child's name.
3. Staff #1 and Staff #2 both confirmed the cups were not individually labeled.

Plan of Correction: Teachers will no longer use sippy cups for water. They will use disposable paper cups that will be thrown away directly after use each time. Toddler classrooms will have sippy cups that are kept at the center and washed by kitchen manager after each meal.
