A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on November 6, 2019 from approximately 12:05 PM to 4:30 PM to review supplemental health and safety requirements. The following staff-to-child ratios were observed in the classrooms: BBI (infants) 2:6, BBII (infants) 1:3, OBI (16mo-2y) 2:14 (napping), OBII (2y) 1:15 (napping), GBII (2y-3y) 1:15 (napping), YBI (3y-4y) 1:12 (napping), K (5y) 1:7. The staff were observed to be engaged with the children in age appropriate activities and to be meeting the needs of the children in care. The facility had the required postings in the facility. The first aid kit and non-medical emergency supplies were inspected and found complete. The last evacuation drill was conducted on 10/16/19. The last shelter-in-place drill was conducted on 9/17/18. The Emergency Preparedness plan is current. Health Inspection: 7/1/19. Fire Inspection: 1/11/19. Medications and authorizations were reviewed. There were staff present who are certified in medication administration, daily health observation, First Aid, and CPR. 6 children's records, 6 staff records, and 5 agent records were reviewed. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection.
