Thank you for your assistance during this unannounced inspection. This on-site visit was initiated from a complaint that was received by the Valley Licensing Office on November 4, 2019. One staff record was reviewed. Interviews were conducted with four staff and the facility was toured. Ratios were in compliance with licensing standards as well as the resilient surfacing on the outside playground. The information gathered during the investigation supports part of the allegations, so the complaint is determined to be valid. Ares of non-compliance may be found on the violation notice.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-200-A Complaint related: Yes Description: Based on interview with staff, the center failed to have a qualified program director on site at least 50% of the center's hours of operation.
Evidence: 1. Four staff were interviewed. 2. Staff #1 stated the program director is on site from "8:30 a.m. through 10:30 a.m." 3. Staff #2 stated the program director is on site from "8:30 a.m. through 11:30 a.m." 4. The center is open form 6:00 a.m. through 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.Plan of Correction: We are reviewing a staff qualifications of current staff members for assistant director.
