An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 10:30am through 12:45pm. There were 103 children in care ages two through six years old with 19 teachers, and the center administrators. Children and staff records were reviewed. A walking of the building inside and outside was completed. Required postings, annual inspections, emergency evacuation drills, first aid kit, medication and transportation were reviewed. Children were observed in teacher and self-directed activities including restroom routines, hand washing, lunch, outside play and learning center play. Violations regarding medication and documentation of emergency drills were identified. The violations were discussed with the program director at the conclusion of the inspection.
