A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on December 3, 2019 from approximately 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM to review supplemental health and safety requirements. The site director was present for the inspection. There were 17 school-age children in care at the time of the inspection. There were 3 staff members working directly with the children. The licensing inspector observed children participating in a variety of activities. The staff were observed to be engaged with the children in age appropriate activities and to be meeting the needs of the children in care. Afternoon snacks are provided by the facility. The facility had the following posted: license, emergency numbers, evacuation maps/procedures, daily schedule, and various parent information. Medications and authorizations were reviewed. The first aid kit and non-medical emergency supplies were inspected and found complete. 5 children's records were reviewed. Staff records will be reviewed at the administrative office at a later date. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection.
