An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted from 12:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. There were 121 children in care being supervised by 12 staff members. The children were observed finishing lunch and napping. Lunch served today is chicken, rice, peas, carrots, fruit, and milk. Ten children's records were reviewed and in compliance. Six staff records were reviewed. Thirteen medications were reviewed and in compliance. There are currently 6 staff members on site who are MAT (Medication Administration Training) certified. The most recent emergency escape drill was conducted 11/26/2019 and the most recent shelter in place drill was conducted 09/06/2019. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-160-C Description: Based on review of six staff records it was determined that not all staff records contained documentation of a TB (tuberculosis) screening on file. Evidence: The most recent TB screening for Staff A was dated 10/06/2017. Plan of Correction: Staff A will obtain an updated TB screening and submit the results to administration.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-80-A Description: Based on classroom observation and interview it was determined that a written record of attendance was not kept in each classroom. Evidence: The attendance was kept on an electronic tablet and was not kept on a written attendance record. Plan of Correction: Administration will keep the attendance on the electronic tablet as well as a written record.
