Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted with the center director and staff on December 17, 2019 to determine compliance with the licensing standards. There were 4 infants, 16 toddlers/twos, and 11 preschool children present with six staff actively supervising. The children had just finished lunch and were getting on the cots for rest. Lunch served today: turkey, bread, beets, pineapple, and milk. Three staff files and four children's files were reviewed and are in compliance. There are no medications being administered at the center. The last health inspection was conducted 12/4/2019. The last fire inspection was conducted 5/2/2019. Evacuation drills have been conducted monthly; the last shelter in place drill was conducted 10/24/2019. Time of today's inspection: 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Please call me if you have any questions at 804-662-9766 or e-mail tara.barton@dss.virginia.gov.
