- Comments:

12:45-2:45pm Conducted an unannounced annual subsidy inspection. Observed 4 children = 3 points with the vendor. A parent and 1 child were also present. Other children were coming/going from the home. The children were reading books, playing with toys, eating lunch, and having outdoor active play during the inspection. The vendor completed the annual child development training requirements. Administrative and safety non-compliances were found.

Standard #: 22VAC40-665-160-B Description: Based on interview conducted, it was determined that a written hard copy record of daily attendance that documents the arrival + departure of each child in care as it occurs. Evidence: The vendor stated that she has not kept written attendance. Plan of Correction: The vendor said she would keep the written attendance.
Standard #: 22VAC40-665-240-C-2 Description: Based on observations made, it was determined that electrical outlets did not have protective covers. Evidence: 2 outlets in the bathroom on the main level of home did not have covered. Plan of Correction: The vendor said she will be replacing the outlet with the safety slide inside.
Standard #: 22VAC40-665-410-A-1 Description: Based on records reviewed, it was determined that emergency drills were not practiced monthly. Evidence: No drills were recorded for April + May. Plan of Correction: The vendor will practice drills monthly.
