A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 01/24/2020 to review supplemental health and safety requirements.
A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. The inspector was in the facility between 10:00 Am and 2:30 PM. Fifty three children were in care. A sample size of five staff records and five children's records were reviewed.

Standard #: 22VAC40-665-510-B Description: Based upon review of records and staff interview, the facility has not ensured that for each group of children, a written hard copy record of daily attendance documenting the arrival and departure of each child is maintained as it occurs.
Evidence:
1. When asked for the attendance record for the two year old classroom, the record provided did not have any children checked in as present for today, January 24th. Eleven children were in care in the two year old classroom at the time. The records for previous days this week indicated children checked in but not checked out for the day(s).
@, Staff 1 confirmed that the attendance record had not been kept for today and that previous days showed children's names who were not checked out as having left the group.Plan of Correction: The facility responded with the following:
Each grouping of children will have a daily attendance log where children are logged in as they arrive and checked out as they leave. Completion of the daily logs will be randomly checked in each classroom throughout the day to ensure complianvce.
