Gave Vendor a blank CPS form for household member that will turn 14 tomorrow. Gave instruction on the new requirements added to the regulations.

An unannounced inspection was conducted this afternoon. There were 4 children present with the vendor for a total of 10 points. The Vendor completed her CDA requirements in November and has a current CPR certification. The children were observed doing homework, playing, and watching Elmo. Standard #: 22VAC4-665-340-K Description: Based on observation, it was determined the vendor is using a crib that has bumper pads attached to the railing. Plan of Correction: I will remove the pad from the railings.
Standard #: 22VAC40-665-170-B Description: Based on record review, it was determined the vendor did not obtain information required for enrolled children. Evidence: 1. Child #3 has a listed allergy but not a written plan of action. 2. Child # 2 is missing home address, work information for the parent, and emergency contact's address and phone number. 3. All 3 records reviewed were missing written authorization for emergency medical care should an emergency occur and the parent cannot be located immediately. Plan of Correction: I will get records complete.
Standard #: 22VAC40-665-180-4 Description: Based on record review, it was determined the vendor did not obtain documentation of First Aid certification. Evidence: 1. Vendor had a current CPR certification bit the card indicated First Aid was not included. The most recent card indicated First Aid expired February 18, 2019. Plan of Correction: I will send a copy to you once I get from county. The county holds it every month.
Standard #: 22VAC40-665-410-B Description: Based on record review and interview, it was determined the vendor did not maintain a record of the dates of the practice drills for one year. Evidence: 1. Vendor did not have a record for Inspector to review and said she has not located it since she had the walls painted. Plan of Correction: I will put in my files.
