Technical Assistance:
Discussion was held on the topics of current enrollment, current staffing, and medication. The one medication currently being stored on site is now expired (expiration date - 12/2019). The program was encouraged to return this out-dated medication to the child's parent in order to obtain a replacement. The expired medication had never been administered.

Comments:
The following inspection took place between the hours of 2 pm through 3:30 pm. Today, I met with the Staff of the County After School Activities (CASA) program located on site at John Tolbert Elementary school in the town of Leesburg, Virginia. At the start of this unannounced monitoring inspection there were a total of 30 children observed with 2 staff; good ratio for this one group of school age children. A substitute was on site today in place of the Site Supervisor. A total of 5 children?s files were reviewed. Staff files shall be reviewed through the PRCS main office later in the year. The children were engaged in the following: check-in, games, art, bathroom breaks, hand washing, snack, large motor skilled activities outside on the school playground, and other organized activities. If you should have any future questions, please call or send an e-mail to charles.perkins@dss.virginia.gov. Thank you.

Charlie Perkins,
Licensing Inspector
