An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 9:40am-1:15pm. There were 56 children directly supervised by 9 staff and all classrooms were in ratio. The physical plant, outdoor playground area, programming, menus, 6 staff records, 10 children's records, 6 medications, evacuation drills, injury reports, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. Adequate staff on site are current in CPR/First Aid, Daily Health Observation, and Medication Administration Training. Children were observed playing in centers, playing with play dough, learning colors and painting, completing an activity learning about plants and herbs, playing outside on the playground, and eating lunch which consisted of tomato soup, cheese bread, lettuce, pears, and milk. Infant feeding and diapering procedures were also observed. Positive interactions between children and staff were observed during this inspection. There was an abundant supply of age appropriate materials for the children. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice. If you have any questions regarding this inspection, please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
