During the initial phase of this remote inspection, it was mutually agreed between the Inspector and Center Director to proceed with the second phase of the inspection at the same time. The RM1 portion of the inspection and the RM2 portion were both completed today. Both of these phases of the inspection were completed virtually.
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A monitoring inspection was initiated on 5/13/2020 and concluded on 5/15/2020. The director was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 0 children present and 0 staff. The inspector reviewed with the director a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed 2 children?s records and 2 staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and one violation was documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.
The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-60-A Description: Based on a review of children's records, it was determined that the center did not maintain one child's record in a manner to ensure it contains all required information.
Child record A does not include the father's place of employment information.
Plan of Correction: When we re-open the parent will be asked for the information.
