This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A monitoring inspection was initiated on 7/20/2020 and concluded on 7/21/2020. The Director was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 21 children present with 8 staff. The inspector emailed the Director a list of items required to complete the inspection. The inspector reviewed 3 children?s records and 3 staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete.
The information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or laws and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.
The licensing inspector has reviewed with the Provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-160-C Description: Based on record review and interview, staff have not obtained and submitted the results of a follow-up tuberculosis (TB) screening every two years.
Evidence: Staff #1's most recent TB screening results are dated 1/12/2018. Staff #2's most recent TB screening results are dated 10/30/2017. Staff #3's most recent TB screening results are dated 1/12/2018.
Plan of Correction: I know that [Staff #2] completed the screening but I don't have the results in their record. We must've missed [Staff #1] and [Staff #3]. I'll make sure they get done and we get the results in their files.
