This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
An initial inspection was conducted on 8/28/20. The director was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. All spaces to be used by the children, including the outside play area, were measured and inspected in person with the rest of the inspection being reviewed virtually.. One staff records was reviewed to determine the qualifications of the Program Director. No records were reviewed for children at the inspection today. Emergency procedures and emergency supplies along with all required postings were reviewed during the inspection. The application request a capacity of 169 and the measurements of the areas to be used will support the requested capacity. Any areas of the standards related to direct service that were not determined during the initial inspection will be determined at the first unannounced inspection following issuance of the license. All future inspections will be unannounced. The facility would like to begin operation no later 9/8/20.
