Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.

A monitoring inspection was initiated on 9/29/2020 and concluded on 9/30/2020. The Supervisor was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 38 children present and 13 staff. The inspector emailed the Supervisor a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed 3 children?s records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and one violation was documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.

The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.

Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-130-A
Description: Based on a review of children's records, it was determined that the center did not obtain documentation that each child has received the immunizations required by the State Board of Health before each child began attending the center.
Evidence:
Child record A does not include documentation of an immunization record. This child has a documented date of enrollment of 9/8/2020.

Plan of Correction: The parent was called today and reminded to bring the shot record either today or tomorrow.
