This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A monitoring inspection was initiated on 9/22/20 and concluded on 9/24/20. The director was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 7 children and 3 staff
The inspector emailed the director a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed 2 children's record and 2 staff files submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete.
The information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.
Please submit a copy of Staff A's fingerprint background check upon receipt. Staff should not be hired nor work at the center without first having a Fingerprint background check.

Standard #: 63.2(17)-1720.1-B-2 Description: Based on interview, it was determined that one staff did not have a Fingerprint background check prior to their date of employment.
Evidence:
Staff A was hired on 8/31/20 and as of 9/24/20, there was no Fingerprint background check on file. .Plan of Correction: We are in the process of obtaining Staff A's fingerprint background check and we will remember no staff can be hired without first obtaining a fingerprint background check.
