This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
The licensing inspector initiated an remote inspection which was initiated on 9/9/20 and concluded on 10/8/20 in response to a self-reported incident received by the department on 9/9/20. Interviews were conducted with the staff and family members relating to the incident. There are no violations resulting from this self-reported investigation. Standard #: 22VAC40-191-60-C-2 Description: Based on documentation provided by the director and interview, the center failed to obtain a central registry finding within 30 days of employment.
1. The record for one staff was provided. There was no results for the central registry provided.
2. The director stated the staff member started 9/2/20 and they sent off the central registry background check but have not received the findings yet and have not follow-up as of 10/9/20.
Plan of Correction: The director attempted to call to follow-up on 10/9/20 after discussing the situation with the inspector and then sent an email. If they have not received contact within a week another attempt will be made. In the future if a response is not received within 30 days from a central registry check follow-up will be made and the record will be documented.
