This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A monitoring inspection was conducted on 10/15/2020. The director was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 8 children present and 2 staff. The inspector emailed the director a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed 2 children?s records and 2 staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.
The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.
Please complete the columns for "Plan of Correction" and "Date to be Corrected" for each violation cited on the violation notice, and then return a signed and dated copy to the licensing office by 4pm on Thursday, 10/22/2020. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-60-A Description: Based on record review, the center did not ensure that all children's records contained all required information.
Evidence: Child #1 (Start Date: 9/9/2020) did not have documentation on file of the center verifying the child's identity and age.Plan of Correction: Contacted parents again. Was advised they are still awaiting the birth certificate. Parents do not have a birth registry/passport. Parents advised as soon as it arrives in the mail they will bring to school. Parents ordered birth certificate in Aug. 2020.
