A monitoring inspection was begun on 11/05/2020. Children were observed resting in all rooms.
Emergency evacuation drills, medications, ratios, cot spacing, and rest supplies were all reviewed.
8 staff records were reviewed for background requirements and qualifications, TB screening and references. 3 children's records were reviewed. All were complete.

Standard #: 63.2(17)-1721.1-B-4 Description: Based on a review of records, staff records do not contain documentation of completed out of state background searches required for any staff having resided outside of the state of Virginia in the past 5 years, prior to employment (hired after July 1,2020).
Evidence:
2 of 5 records reviewed did not contain documentation of the required Criminal History search for staff persons that have resided outside of the state of Virginia in the past 5 years.

*Staff #4 DOH: 10/06/2020Plan of Correction: Only 2 staff members were missing proper documentation of the D.C. Criminal History search. We have submitted proper documentation of correctly mailing in the D.C. Criminal History Search. We submitted this documentation to Sarah Marbert via email.
