Comments:
his inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia. A monitoring inspection was initiated on 11/16/20 and concluded on 11/18/20. The director was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 20 children present and 3 staff present. The inspector emailed the director a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed 3 children?s records and 3 staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility. The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.

2. Staff #3 confirmed that the record for child #2 did not contain all of the required information.

Plan of Correction: The facility responded: We will double check the central files for a copy of the enrollment registration form. if we are unable to locate, we will have the parent complete anew one.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-550-D
Description: Based on a review of the emergency drill log and interview, it was determined that the facility did not ensure that a monthly practice evacuation drill is completed.

Evidence:

2. Staff #3 confirmed that there was no emergency evacuation drill completed during the month of October 2020.

Plan of Correction: The facility responded: Going forward we will complete an emergency evacuation drill each month.
