This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A renewal inspection was initiated on 11/18/2020 and concluded on 11/18/2020. The director was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 39 children present and 8 staff. The inspector emailed the director a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed 3 children?s records and 3 staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliances with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.
The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.

Evidence:
Child#3's record did not contain the address for 1 of 2 required emergency contacts.Plan of Correction: We will make sure we obtain the address of the child's emergency contact.
Standard #: 63.2(17)-1720.1-A Description: Based on staff record review, one staff member did not undergo a central registry background check every 5 years.
Evidence:
Staff#1's (DOH: 9/11/2015) record contains a Central Registry result that expired on 10/1/2020.Plan of Correction: We will renew the CPS check for the staff member.
