Staff shall be evaluated by a health professional and be issued a statement that the individual is determined to be free of communicable tuberculosis (TB). Documentation of the screening shall be submitted at the time of employment and prior to coming into contact with children. The documentation shall have been completed within the last 30 calendar days of the date of employment and be signed by a physician, physician's designee, or an official of the health department.
Within the first 90 days of employment all staff who work directly with children shall complete the ten-hour Virginia Preservice Training for Child Care Staff. Within one year of completion, all staff who work directly with children shall complete the three-hour Update Training.

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A subsidy health and safety inspection (SHSI) was conducted on 12/2/2020 with an exit interview on 12/7/2020. The director was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 41 children present with seven staff supervising. A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date. Both inspections combined cover subsidy health and safety regulations. Only subsidy regulations that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection.
