Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A monitoring inspection was initiated on 11/30/2020 and concluded on 12/07/2020. The director was contacted by phone to initiate the inspection. There were 77 children present and 15 staff present. The inspector emailed the director a list of items required to complete the inspection. The inspector reviewed 3 children?s records and 6 staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete.
The information gathering during the inspection determined no violations with applicable standards or law. No violations were issued. The licensing inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.

Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-550-D
Description: Based on interview, the center did not complete monthly evacuation drills.
Evidence:
1. Drills had not been complete the months of August, September, or October.

Plan of Correction: The new director will make sure monthly evacuation drills are complete each month.
