This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A subsidy health and safety inspection was initiated on 11/18/2020 and concluded on 11/20/2020. The director was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 34 children present and 7 staff. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection. Both inspections combined cover subsidy health and safety regulations. Only subsidy regulations that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection.
The information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with subsidy regulations, and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.
If you have any questions regarding this inspection, please contact Maria Soto at 571-835-5058 or email@example.com
Standard #: 22VAC40-665-500-F Description: Based on observation and interview with staff, the center did not maintain a current written list of all children's allergies, sensitivities, and dietary restrictions accessible to all staff who work with children in each room or area where children are present.
The allergy list did not include 2 children that have allergies and dietary restrictions currently attending the program. The list provided during the inspection listed children that are no longer attending the center. Center staff verified that both of these children were not included on the center's allergy list.
Plan of Correction: The allergy list has been updated and present in every room.
