Technical Assistance:
1. Discussed walls being part of the routine cleaning in the daycare areas. 2. Reviewed/trained vendor on the new subsidy regulations. 3. Forms provided: attendance, new emergency plan, and emergency medical care.

Comments:
10:15-11:55am Annual unannounced subsidy inspection completed. Observed 3 children + 2 children that live in the home = 6 points with the vendor. Ratios and supervision were in compliance. The children were playing, eating snack, while the infant was being held and fed during the inspection. Childcare areas of the home were found to be clean and sufficiently supplied with toys and equipment for the children. The vendor is currently certified in First Aid/CPR. Recordkeeping and safety non-compliances found.

Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC4-665-340-H
Description: Based on observations made, it was determined that a crib does not meet the current federal safety guidelines. Evidence: According to the product labels affixed to the crib used by Child #5, it was manufactured in 1996 and does not meet the current safety guidelines for use in home-based childcare.

Plan of Correction: The vendor will get a new crib that has a manufacture date of 5/1/13, or newer. A photo of the crib and the manufacture label with date will be sent to the inspector by 9/1/19.

Standard #: 22VAC40-665-170-B
Description: Based on records reviewed, it was determined that 1 of 3 children's records did not include required information. Evidence: Child #1 - Written parental permission for emergency medical care.

Plan of Correction: The vendor will have the parents sign this form.
