The children will use the sidewalks adjacent to the center to go on walks until the playground is finished.
Public health recommendations provided for schools and child care programs, COVID-19 updates, decision tools and FAQs are posted on the VDSS website.
New background check requirements for out of state staff, staff files, VDSS forms and staff training requirements.

This Initial Inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia. An on-site inspection of the facility was not conducted at this time. The initial inspection was conducted virtually on December 28, 2020. The inspection was initiated at 2:00pm and concluded at 3:30pm.
There were no children in care during the virtual inspection, thus those standards regarding the care and supervision of children were not reviewed. The virtual tour of the facility was conducted with the owners and the center director. The physical plant, background checks, center policies and procedures and the emergency preparedness plan were reviewed. Classrooms are supplied with age appropriate supplies, equipment and activities for children. The playground area is still under construction, it will be inspected once the playground is finished. There were no violations observed during this inspection. All future inspections will be unannounced. The first unannounced inspection will be conducted within 60 days from the date the license is issued.
