Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.

A monitoring inspection was initiated on January 19, 2021 and concluded on January 20, 2021. The in-charge person was contacted by video call to initiate the inspection. There were 10 children present and 5 staff. The inspector emailed the provider a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed 2 children?s records and 2 staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.

The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.

Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-560-K
Description: Based on interview with supervisor, the tables and chairs are not being cleaned and sanitized according to standard licensing procedure.
Evidence
Supervisor stated to clean and sanitize the tables and chairs they are using bleach. The standard licensing procedure is to spray with a solution of soap and water, pat dry, spray with a solution of bleach and water and allow to air dry.

Plan of Correction: All staff will be retrained and will begin immediately following the standard licensing procedure for cleaning and sanitizing the tables and chairs.
