A complaint investigation was begun in response to an allegation being received in our office. Based on multiple staff interviews and a review of available documentation, the preponderance of evidence does not support the allegation. The complaint is not valid.

Standard #: 63.2(17)-1720.1-B-4 Complaint related: No Description: Based on a review of records, one staff record does not include documentation of completed background searches for a staff person who has resided outside of the state of Virginia in the past 5 years. The searches were required to be on file by 12/31/2020.
Documentation available for review shows that one staff person resides in the District of Columbia. A Sex Offender Registry Search and a Criminal History Search were required to be on file by 12/31/2020 for staff hired prior to July 1, 2020 for anyone that has resided outside of the state of Virginia in the past 5 years. (Staff A)
