This investigation was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A complaint investigation was conducted on 2/11/2021 regarding allegations in the areas of neglect, toileting, food service, and parent involvement/communication. The assistant director was contacted by telephone to conduct the investigation. The Licensing Inspector conducted interviews and reviewed documentation submitted. Evidence gathered during the investigation supports the allegation regarding the menu not being provided to families. There was not sufficient evidence to support the additional allegations regarding neglect, toileting, or food service.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-560-F Complaint related: Yes Description: Based on interviews, the center did not ensure that the current week's menu was posted in a location conspicuous to parents or given to parents. Evidence: Interviews determined that the current menu was not given to parents and was posted inside of the center. Parents are not currently allowed inside the center due to COVID-19 guidelines. Plan of Correction: The menu was posted on the Parent Bulletin Board. In addition, we will begin posting it on the door for parents and have copies available to take home.
