Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.

A monitoring inspection was initiated on February 24, 2021 and concluded on February 25, 2021. The director was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 85 children present and 14 staff. The inspector emailed the director a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed five children?s records and five staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.

Violations:
Standard #: 63.2(17)-1720.1-A
Description: Based on a review of records and interview, one staff did not have documentation of an updated central registry finding every five years from the date of the most recent central registry finding.

Evidence:
1. The most recent central registry finding in the record for caregiver #2 was dated 10/06/15.
