Early Head Start has opened and the Head Start is Virtual Learning

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia. A renewal inspection was initiated by the Inspector on April 8, 2021 but conducted virtually on April 15, 2021. One of the programs opened back up on Monday April12,2021 and The Director was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 7 children present in two classes and 4 staff supervising the children. The Inspector emailed the Director a list of items required to conduct the inspection. The Inspector reviewed children?s records and staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete. Medication policies were also checked as there is a child enrolled who may require medication. Staff are current with CPR and MAT requirements. The Program had paperwork maintained so the Inspector could visually view the information. The information gathered during the inspection determined no violations with applicable standards or law.
