Standard #: 22VAC40-665-580-H Description: Based on a review of three staff records, it was determined that the vendor did not ensure that staff complete the Annual Virginia Health and Safety Update Training for Child Care Staff.
Evidence:
1. The record for staff #2 did not contain documentation to demonstrate staff #1 had completed the Annual Virginia Health and Safety Update Training for Child Care Staff.
2. The record for staff #3 did not contain documentation to demonstrate staff #1 had completed the Annual Virginia Health and Safety Update Training for Child Care Staff.
3. Staff #4 (Program Administrator) reviewed the records for staff #2 and staff #3, and confirmed that nether of the staff had completed the Annual Virginia Health and Safety Update Training for Child Care Staff.Plan of Correction: The vendor responded: Staff will be required to complete the Annual Virginia Health and Safety Update Training for Child Care Staff. Going forward all staff will complete the Annual Virginia Health and Safety Update Training for Child Care Staff each year as a part of their required 16 hours of annual training.
