Consultation provided on the importance and need to adhere to the parent/guardian's feeding schedule for infants.
Reviewed with the center the guidance on not mixing groups of children and the importance of maintaining the same group of children day to day to help reduce the potential exposure of COVID 19.

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A complaint inspection was received on 3/16/21 and initiated on 3/19/21. A complaint was received by the department regarding allegations in the areas of care and protection and special services ( feeding needs). The director was contacted by telephone to conduct the investigation.
The evidence gathered during the investigation did not support the allegation of non-compliance with one standard or law.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-340-A Complaint related: Yes Description: Based on interviews, it was determine that the center did not ensure the care, protection and guidance of children in care.
Evidence:
The center failed to adhere to the health and safety guidelines established in March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic of maintaining the same group of children day-to-day and not combining classrooms to help reduce potential exposure to COVID-19. Interviews revealed that classrooms are being combined in the morning and at the end of the day, at approximately 3:30 pm. In the mornings, two classrooms ( infant and schoolager rooms) are open to receive children. Once the teachers arrived in the morning, they will pick up their assigned children from one of these 2 rooms and take the children to their assigned room.
On 3/15/21 child A, who is assigned to the Prep B classroom, was moved into two additional classrooms (the Prep A and the Prep classroom).Plan of Correction: Not available online. Contact Inspector for more information.
