The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia. A monitoring inspection was initiated on 05/28/2021 concluded on 06/03/2021. The in-charge person was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 15 children present and 4 staff. The inspector emailed the in-charge person a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed 3 children?s records and 2 staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-140-A Description: Based on a record review the center did not ensure each child had a physical examination under the direction of a physician.
Evidence:
Child #2, enrolled on 03/08/21, did not have documentation of having a physical examination.Plan of Correction: The following corrective action was provided by the owner during the exit interview:
The owner stated she will contact the parent to obtain a copy of the physical.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-260-B Description: Based on a record review the center did not have documentation of annual approval from the health department.

The owner stated she has contacted the health department and an inspection is scheduled this week.
