Technical Assistance:
The following was discussed with the program director:
+Posting of the license and inspection reports;
+Safe Sleep for Infants;
+Crib spacing when occupied by infants;
+Emergency supply of bottles & formula should be sufficient for the number of infants in care;
+Cribs should be moved away from wall, when occupied, in order to eliminate access to decorative wall art and the telephone wall outlet.
+Contact the Chesapeake Fire Marshall to inquire about the locking of doors when children are in care;
+Follow-up with inspector regarding repair to crack in window in the office;
+Reviewed Conditional licensure period.

Comments:
An announced initial inspection was conducted on 06/15/2021 from 10:05 am - 11:11 am. There were no children in care as the facility is not yet operational.

The physical plant and outdoor play area was reviewed and measured.

CDC standards in the areas of staffing & supervision, programs and children's records could not be reviewed as the facility does not have any children in care at this time.

No violations were noted at this inspection.
