Technical Assistance:
Consultation provided on the need for all staff to wear masks at all times to include in the hallway and outside on the playground.

Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.

A complaint inspection was initiated on 6/16/21 and concluded on 6/22/21. A complaint was received by the department regarding allegation in the area of supervision. The director was contacted by telephone and virtually to conduct the investigation.

The evidence gathered during the investigation supported one non-complaint related violation.

Description: Based on interview, it was determined that all parents were not informed of exposure to a reportable communicable disease at the center within 24 hours or the next business day of having been informed.
Evidence:
Interviews revealed that the center was informed by a parent either June 9th or June 10th that their child, in the infant/toddler room tested positive for Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV). As of 6/16/21, the center had not informed all the parents of this contagious communicable virus.
