This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A monitoring inspection was initiated on June 17, 2021 and concluded on June 24, 2021. The director was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were twenty-eight children in the care of six staff. The inspector emailed the director a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed three children?s records and three staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliances with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility. The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.
Please complete the plan of correction and date to be corrected sections for each violation cited on the violation notice and return it to me within 5 business days from today. You will need to specify how the deficient practice will be or has been corrected. Just writing the word `corrected? is not acceptable. Your plan of correction must contain: 1) steps to correct the noncompliance with the standard(s): 2) measures to prevent the noncompliance from occurring again; and 3) person(s) responsible for implementing each step and/or monitoring any preventive measure(s).

Standard #: 22VAC40-191-60-C-2 Description: Based on record review, program did not ensure that a central registry check was completed within thirty days of employment.
Evidence: 1. Date of employment for Staff #2 was 6/25/20. There were no central registry results in the file. 2. Director confirmed that items from file had been misplaced during the move as a result of a fire at the facility. Office of Background Investigations has been contacted to get another copy of the results.Plan of Correction: Not available online. Contact Inspector for more information.
