Discussion of an infant observed sleeping on their stomach. When asked by the inspector (LI), the staff indicated that the child was placed into crib on their back. The child then adopted a more comfortable position on their own by rolling over. The LI stated that this practice was in compliance, provided that the infant always starts on their back and is continued to be checked during nap time.

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, including telephone contacts, documents review, interviews, and a virtual tour of the program.
A renewal inspection was initiated and concluded on 08/18/2021. The Director was contacted by telephone and a virtual inspection was conducted. There were 56 children present, ranging from infant to preschool age, in 6 groups, with 9 classroom staff supervising. There were also 3 administrative staff on site today.
The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration; physical plant; staffing and supervision; programming; medication; special care and emergencies; and nutrition. A total of 5 children records, and 18 staff records were reviewed.
The information gathered during the inspection determined that there was not a violation to an applicable standard or law. Therefore, a Violation Notice was not issued.
