The following items were discussed with the center administrator:
A shaded area must be provided to the playground during the summer months (June, July and August).
The playground must be inspected every day and before each group of children uses it.
Center policies and safety procedures must be followed when transitioning to the playground area.
All storage closets and cabinets that store cleaning supplies and other hazardous materials should always be locked.
Public health recommendations provided for schools and child care programs, COVID-19 updates are available on the VDOE website.
Areas of the center will be measured during the conditional licensure period. An unannounced visit will be conducted during the first 60 days of the conditional license.

This initial inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, including telephone contacts, documents review, interviews and a virtual tour of the program.
An initial inspection was initiated on 9/2/2021 and concluded on 9/2/2021. The school administrator was contacted by telephone and a virtual inspection was conducted. There were no children in care during the virtual inspection, thus those standards regarding the care and supervision of children were not reviewed. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition.
The information gathered during the inspection determined no violations with applicable standards or law. No violations were issued.
