This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, including telephone contacts, documents review.
A monitoring inspection was conducted on 9/16/2021. The director was contacted by telephone and a virtual inspection was conducted. There were 32 children present with 8 staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 3 child records and 2 staff records were reviewed.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-510-C Description: Based on record review, the center's proceedures for adminitering medication did not include authorization from the parent.
Evidence:
Two medication authorization forms for Child 3 did not include authorization from the parent to include:
name of medication, dose of medication, the times that which the medication should be administered, or the effective dates of the authorization.Plan of Correction: Have parent fill out the blanks on the form today ASAP.
